Last year, Directive (EU) 2019/1937 of the European Parliament and of the Council on the protection of persons reporting on breaches of Union law, commonly referred to as the Whistleblower Protection Directive, was adopted. It imposes, m.in on entrepreneurs, requirements related to the introduction of internal reporting systems.

Stage I

Preparation (minimum necessary)

AUDIT

Preliminary audit of those arrangements for reporting irregularities, carrying out investigations, assessment of compliance with the Directive and their effectiveness. Development of recommendations.

TRAINING

Training for employees in the field of reporting irregularities, how to use information channels, whistleblower protection and training for people involved in handling reports and conducting follow-up activities.

PROCEDURE

Preparation of procedures for reporting irregularities for individual reporting channels, procedures for conducting follow-up actions, investigations and the manner and scope of informing state authorities.

Stage II

Communication security (IT solution)

ELECTRONIC REPORTING CHANNEL

Implementation of an advanced system for electronic reporting of information on irregularities.

ALIGNMENT WITH YOUR ORGANIZATION

Adaptation of the IT system to the structure of the organization and its tasks, development of language versions, server installation, etc.

CONFIDENTIAL AND ANONYMOUS REPORTING

Preparation of procedures and training of employees in the use of a confidential and anonymous reporting system.

Stage III

Service and support (constant support of experts)

TICKET HANDLING

Accepting applications, conducting conversations with a whistleblower, registering reports. Meeting the requirements of the Whistleblower Directive for internal channels. Consultation and advice on how to act for the whistleblower.

ANALYSIS AND RECOMMENDATIONS

Analysis of notifications, assessment of the risk of irregularities and their consequences, presentation of a report with recommendations for actions for the indicated representative of the company (compliance officer) of the designated member of the management board.

EXPLANATORY ACTIVITIES

Conducting complex investigations and audits on the basis of reports from whistleblowers, verification of information based on advanced methods of data analysis and information sources, as well as specialized investigative techniques and methods.
